Here is what
some reviewers have to say...
| "In a
world of ever-increasing access to
information and choices, it is common for
leisure travelers to feel overwhelmed,
but you don't have to do everything
yourself. Assistance is available in
Susan Kimmel's new book, Travel
Guide to the World, with great
suggestions for getting the travel
experience you want and exceeding your
expectations. A major theme that she
encourages is personal Internet search
and coordination of your plans with a
professional travel consultant." Tom

"Susan Kimmel's
new book, Travel Guide to the
World, is not only well-written
and researched; it was a pleasure to read
as well. The web links at the end of each
chapter are wonderful. I found the links
to be current and useful. As the Vice
President of Platinum Seminars, I read a
lot of material on the luxury market.
Susan has included all levels of travel
from contemporary to luxury in her book.
There are a lot of books out offering
travel advice, but take my advice and buy
this book!"

Travel Guide to
the World [is] a resource
for all leisure travelers. The idea
behind the book was to help travelers
plan a vacation that will exceed their
expectations. It contains destination
ideas, ways to get increased value for
the dollar, how to be safe, how to pack,
and to use your imagination as you search
the Internet for travel information. As
you get started with your travel plans
you may want to contact a travel
consultant who can assist you with your
plans....

Even for people
who think they have the ins and outs of
travel beat, the Travel Guide to
the World adds new insights in
this changing world of hitting the
road or the skies. There is
no one how-to book but this
one is worth more than a superficial
read.

Guide to the World ... was
a fantastic resource, especially for
first time cruisers/travelers, although
even veteran cruisers can learn something
new too. I thought it was concise, easy
to read, and current! Plus, I really like
the way you added the resources to find
more info with the links.... It should be
required reading in every travel school
and on the shelves of every
bookstore! Michael Weldon

A travel agent
that you keep in your carry-on luggage?
That's a description I would give of
Susan Kimmel's "Travel Guide
to the World."This isn't a
'How To Travel The World in 80 Days'
book, nor is it a budget guru's guide to
travel, but rather, it is a book that
will steer you clear of some pitfalls and
point you down the path to getting what
you pay for. Leisure travel is once again
a growing activity the world over. Kimmel
focuses on great leisure travel, the
stuff that she says memories are made of.
So what makes for great leisure travel?
Getting the leisure experiences that you
want, not what those in the business
simply want to sell you, is the key. This
book is packed full of information and it
is indeed like carrying around a travel
agent with youto guide you through
options and plans and remind you that you
just need to ask for what you want.
Whether traveling by train, plane or
automobile, bus, backpacking or biking,
whether you are staying in a castle, mom
& pop roadside, or tent, whether you
are heading down to the Florida Keys or
the Great Wall of China, Kimmel has
advice for you. If you are accompanied by
children, pets, or just your shadow, if
you are concerned about travel hazards,
health concerns, or security, if you just
want to know what to expect, "Travel
Guide to the World" just
might come in handy. Save some room in
the carry-on.
Written in a friendly, common sense tone,
the book is easy to read, easy to
understand, and easy to appreciate.
